Buruk Asafa Ababa was born and raised in Gamora village, Sinana district, Bale Zone, Oromia. It is said that he traveled to Yemen, and after that he was returning to Ethiopia together with a friend of his. The family say that four years ago, people from the Hayyu area, in the Afar region, saw them with their own eyes and told them that they were walking on foot because they had run out of transport money. After that, no information about them could be found. His brother went as far as Hayyu searching for him, but his current whereabouts remain unknown. Missing From Ethiopia stands with them. No family searches alone. Anyone who travelled that route, or who saw him near Hayyu in the Afar region, or who holds any information about him, however small, is respectfully asked to share it through the tip form on this page.
