Elias Alemu Shalemu was living and working in Toulouse, France, as an aerospace engineer. The last letter his family received from him carried a return address in Toulouse, and contact with him was lost around mid-1998. No confirmed news of him has reached his family since, and his mother and family have searched for him ever since. His case has previously been featured on Ethiopian television (EBS TV's Kidame Keseat). Missing From Ethiopia is searching with them. No family searches alone.
